The NCSC, part of GCHQ, is the UK’s leading authority on cybersecurity. Its 2024 Annual Review needed to communicate its evolving response to increasingly hostile activity in cyberspace while maintaining its position as the authoritative voice in the sector.
Treble collaborated with M&C Saatchi to design the 2024 Annual Review, themed “Threat-Led Resilience, Defending Democracy.” The objective was to showcase the NCSC’s leadership, embed its work within the fabric of UK society, and present its mission in a way that connects across audiences—government, cyber professionals, and the general public.
We reimagined the Annual Review as a live Python script—translating strategic goals into a format familiar to anyone working in or against cybersecurity. This programming-based design language gave the publication a unique, intelligent tone—bridging technical authenticity with visual accessibility. Structured layouts, integrated metrics and data visualisations mirrored coding environments, reinforcing the NCSC’s central role in defending the UK’s digital landscape.
